The way I see it, if you like to play FFXIV as it is now, you're playing a good chunk of hours a week in it, play with friends or online mates, then the game is worth the $12.99 / month.

It is providing you with a past-time that you are enjoying.

edit: It's like a movie you watch in the theatre, maybe you watch it in 3D, you pay $13~16 for a 2 hour movie. And for those of you that boot legged the movie, you shouldn't be asking for a discount based on principle (if you want to argue on principle).

extended: If my 3D glasses are missing a lens and I think I'm not going to get this "experience", I'm not even going to sit through the previews, I'm going to seek reparations right away. I'm not going to watch the entire movie first with my friends, then seek a refund. Although the glasses are more like a tool to interact with the movie, much like a gamepad, mouse, or keyboard.

For those folks that have been around longer, we got twelve months free. If the game didn't interest us in the form we received it in, we shouldn't have played it for twelve months. We should've left a long time ago.

i wont dumb opinions should be kept to their self. not everyone has played for 12 months, only the people who was dumb enough to play the game when it was completely broke. allot of people did not even start coming back till 1.19 so your point you try to make is dumb. it was free because game is 50% done not for compensation for charging subs now. your opinion is still idiotic.

I'm not calling you stupid or an idiot. Just because you don't understand that 3D glasses was a comparison to a gamepad, keyboard, or a mouse not the contents of the movie. The 3D glasses example serves as the cost to go with the movie. If I gave an example of, "bought a chocolate bar", but get into the theatre and discover the chocolate bar is melted, you would have rode that example down to the embers and back. I don't criticize your math, because you think bootlegging is paying $30 ~ $80, what kind of pirate pays that amount to bootleg something? (marauder quest?).

And you're using the 50% opinion thing? You do realize he said that was before 1.19 was released. You can dig it up yourself later when he goes back to clarify it.

You *think* calling opinions dumb, idiotic, or moronic seem to bring some credence to your wonderful, smart, and constructive opinion (remember, I haven't called your thought process stupid).
