    Would halving Equilibrium recast be worth it?

    So bored, but while I was screwing around with RDM, I found myself wishing Equil had a 30 sec recast instead of the current one. I'd love a "free" 1200 potency heal, especially with the loss of BB, but I'm not sure it would be worth. Thoughts? It would certainly play into the feel of WAR thriving in battle, as well as feel appropriately defiant for Defiance, ala sheer Determination and Tenacity, but would it be OP?

    I have been watching way too much Hajime No Ippo.

    If they were willing to really give back tank self-sustain (to more than just Paladins), I could see the SB Infuriate trait doubling as an Equilibrium recast reducer as well (at the same 5s per 50 BG).

    Yes, I think it would be worth. Though I'd rather Warriors have Bloodbath back. Don't see it happening though since the DPS have it now. -_-

    It would be nice--maybe OP--but it's not really what WAR needs right now, in my opinion.

    All WAR needs atm is either more damage or Some Form of utility. Buffing Equil fixes neither of those and you only get the heal in Defiance which you still don't want to be in. The only way to bring self healing back is to re-introduce something like Bloodbath, doesn't have to be specifically Bloodbath but something we can use in Deliverance. That said it seems like they're trying to move away from WAR being the self heal tank and turning it into some FC bot thing that eventually they'll realize was a weird decision.

    Equilibrium recast should be reduced by X seconds based on Beast Gauge spent while its on cooldown.
    The more aggressive you get with your Gauge, the more healing you get from Equilibrium.

    I'd have to side with Spooky here. There's other things that need improvement first.

    (as a side note, I was thinking about Shake it Off as an aoe cleanse this weekend. Not super utility but if it could clear stuff that saves healers a few gcds.. Would be better than it's current form)

    Although I can get where this comes (Clemency counter balancing) keep in mind this ability instead adds TP while in DPS stance. +200 TP every 30 seconds may be way too much to ask for.

    What I'd like to see instead is Defiance to be changed from this:
    • Increases maximum HP by 25%, while reducing damage dealt by 20% and increasing enmity. Increases own HP recovery via healing magic by 20%.
      Effect ends upon reuse.

    To this:
    • Increases maximum HP by 25%, while reducing damage dealt by 20% and increasing enmity. Increases own HP recovery via all forms of healing by 20%.

    Right now, our heal is restricted to self AND it does not scale with our Tanking stance, while theirs not only scales (because their tanking stance just reduces damage received) but can on top be used on others.

    A Paladin's 1200 potency heal on my WAR is stronger than my own 1200 potency heal, and on top it ends up healing the PLD for 600 potency!!! That's just wrong. At least let my heal scale with my HP!!!

    I'm not the developer, so I couldn't tell you how to balance it. I just know that, looking at the 3 tanks, the big disparity between WAR vs PLD/DRK is that it offers no unique utility that can't be replaced by simply bringing another job. Currently while we can tank anything and everything, we offer nothing to the party unlike our tank brothers. If they want to keep with the theme of WAR being the high DPS tank instead of the self healing tank then a raid damage buff would be good, though in the current meta I feel like a damage buff would be too strong. Realistically we should probably get some sort of raid defense buff or raid healing received buff, though if we look at the big picture the real issue that no one wants to really admit is that PLD simply has too much utility. They have equal damage, equal enough mitigation, and waaaay more utility than the other two tanks. If they turned Shake It Off into utility and stripped PLD of a lot of it's utility, then the tanks would be more equally balanced than they've ever been before. I doubt they'll actually do that and I can't say for sure if that's realistically the solution, but it at least demonstrates the problem - PLD has too much utility, WAR has too little/none.
