Nimbus mount and Oceania...?

Dear Dev Reps,

I would like to ask whether a campaign has been/is being organised for Australians and New Zealanders so that we can get the Nimbus cloud mount? The only information I can find about EU/Other regions getting this mount is some Dr Pepper campaign in Germany. I have wanted this mount for a long time now. As an Australian living in Japan, it made me really angry that I couldn't use the Japan 7-11 promotion, and if an event hasn't been organised yet.. why not?? I mean... why can't SE pre-organise these events so all regions can get the items around the same time?

I really hope to get some information! PLEASE with cherries and triple whipped cream on top!

It's not a SE thing. If you look at other games, mostly Australia/New Zealand is excluded, and there's a reason for it. Your own laws don't allow it, most of the times, so no matter how hard they might be trying to get it organized for you, it's probably not meeting the proper requirements, changing this then on SE's end to match it, would and is in most cases not just a huge hassle, but also a loss. Sorry but I doubt we will be seeing that anytime soon.

I participated in the last one with Hanabee (as crap as it was) to get the original fat chocobo. Why would it suddenly become impossible to run the same or similar promotion?

I see this presented as an argument all the time when promotional campaigns and art competitions come up. However the reality is that this "reason" so far as Australia is concerned is very much wrong. You will notice the latest PAL/EU screenshot competition includes Australia and NZ, however unlike the US one there are zero real world items involved just digital ones. Australia legally considers digital items to be of no monetary value - that means that any give away, promotion, or competition that "rewards" digital items are completely legal and do not have to follow any rules or regulations. Legally SE would be in more trouble in our courts for selling digital items for real money to Australians then they would allowing Australians to partake in the US Amazon promotion.
