Human women are somewhat shorter than human men on average. Au Ra men are literally twice the size of Au Ra women on average. It would be like me at 5'1" dating a Lalafell guy who maybe comes up to my waist, or an LotR elf getting involved with a hobbit.

I think you might of misinterpreted what i was trying to indicate. I was saying that like humans, the Au Ra females mature early and develop faster. Where as the males develop later and slower. And in my final statement I was just stating that their Sexual Dismorphia mimics humans since, the males are taller than the females. The main difference being that the Au Ra difference is a constant, while in humans it is not; seeing a tall female and a short male are not viewed as strange or rare.
It felt a little funny seeing that the Au Ra youths were the same height as me.
Though it is pretty normal for species with significant size differences in genders to remain around the same size as they age until the females near their adult size, at which point the males rapidly overtake them.

Yeah I noticed them as well, however they look exactly the same as Hyur kid. Its why my friend mentioned that some of the Hyur kids we see around might actually be Roegadyn Kids and Roe children just "Hulk out" when they reach a certain age or something.
Could very easily be the Roe's adopted son.

I made a question for the lore Panel at Pax, Hopefully Koji takes a look >_<

The preferred answer. It would be very boring if Roegadyn kids are just Hyur-like children in appearance (it'd also make FFXI have more things over FFXIV. Tarutaru children being half the size of Tarutaru adults, which is hilarious and Galka children).

So uh... at least we know for sure that Roegadyn children will most likely not be "Hyurs."Q: There is a wierd fan theory that Roegadyn kids look like Hyur due to the Roegadyn father and the Hyur son found in the Gold Saucer. Are Roe and Hyur kids the same? What do Roegadyn kids look like?
A: Ok, there's actually a really sad story behind this. So, orphaned after this terrible accident involving a poisoned plate of Vongoli Goso and a Mamool Ja spy the kid was- ok that's for another time, were not gonna talk about that, but the Hyur child is not a son of the Roegadyn, it's an orphan son. So he's an adopted son.
I asked Oda-san about this. About why there aren't any Roegadyn children, because you have everything else. And finally he's like "Oh, Roegadyn are gonna come out". And then Stormblood's like, ah, Au Ra children. I mean, Roegadyn have been around a lot longer you'd think it'd be our turn, c'mon. And I asked Oda about this and he was just livid, he was like "I've been petitioning for 4 years to get Roegadyn children in the game why do the dev's hate Roegadyn so much. I love them." He played Galka in 11. He plays Roegadyn in 14 now, he has been lobbying for child Roegadyn since time eternal. And for some reason, every time the dev team is like "Ah, we'll do that one next. We'll do that one. Maybe someday." And I mean he is gonna keep lobbying and he is gonna finally some day we are gonna see a child Roegadyn.
He already has like the design ready, like "Alright I've already told the art team they're gonna be like super buff on top and have like really thin legs." So like little tiny Macho Man Randy Savages. "Oh yeeah. Baby Roegadyn." Ok maybe he didn't say that, but that's kinda what I heard when he told me.

I'd had the thought already, but that quote makes me think even more - given that they're already playing around with body shapes via the "fat cat" Miqo'te (or Mystel, I guess we should be calling them), which I suspect might be achieved via unusually shaped "gear piece" models equipped on a normal NPC... what if they're looking at using the same technique to build Roegadyn children off the basic Hyuran child model?
