And we need to remind the devs that this is an issue that's only going to get increasingly worse as more xpacs are added.

WoW and similar MMOs don't really have this problem because they're not even 1/10th as crafting-intensive as FFXIV is, and while FFXIV's deep and involved crafting/gathering systems are some of the things I love about it, they need to prepare for the future, here.

The fact that they're citing memory issues is massively disconcerting because the database is only going to grow larger as time goes on. This needs to be fixed sooner rather than later...

It would also be grand if they allowed substitute ingredients for certain recipes. This would be very useful for the glamour prism recipes, and recipes that require certain fish. Say toad leather or silver ingots are super expensive, there could be the additional option to make prisms with a different type of leather or gsm ingot. Would also help to increase demand for certain materials that may only be used in certain recipes that no one uses (including the currently useless 1.0 materials).

I know this isn't nearly enough of a change, but there was the mention that they're changing max stack size from 99 to 999. That'll help some people out a small amount.

It'd be nice, but the crafting ingredients I hold onto aren't even stacking that high. It's each additional ingredient that's filling my retainers, and I'm kind of at the point of saying "eff it" to crafting due to the sheer amount of space you need to be a multicrafter.

Though CUL is definitely the worst, other classes like GSM still use mats from an expansion or two ago.

And again, the database issues are probably a bigger problem than our individual storage issues...

Honestly at this point I don't think the max retainers would be enough if you paid for them. This game just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we'll trying to juggle too much to carry.

Wow...if they cant even increase it a second time how will they ever increase it in the future? Also nice to know that budget and time is spent on creating an app..it might be nice but maybe one should first solve the problems ingame before doing stuff like that..

Yeah I forgot to comment on that. Basically I want to say forget the app then, FIX OUR INVENTORY FIRST! we have TOO MENY ITEMS!!!with nowhere to put them all. The game requires you to have TOO MUCH ITEMS, look what yellow scripts require you to get to get the set or even a tool, holding on the deltascape currency, etc. 70-2 star requires too many items, I hate doing them just because I was hurting in space before they came out.
