And its not hard to make all the Gil you ever need with huge amounts of competition, the more selection, the more competition, the more items that sell and continue to sell. Yes, you wont be making profits of 1m per item, you'll have to settle for much less.
While you MIGHT not be wrong, this is still a very bad thing to suggest for the devs to do. Why? Two words: Gil sellers.

Right now, the amount of impact gil sellers have on the game is hampered by the fact that the economies of each server is largely self-contained. They can only farm in one server at a time, after all. But make a single market for every server, and what's going to happen?

There's a very high chance the economy moves in the exact opposite direction, depending on the server. Smaller populated servers -might- see prices drop due to higher supply. But higher populated servers WILL end up seeing mass inflation, because all gil sellers have to do is load one underpopulated server with their bots to farm. Less players around to report them, and they can freely trade between every server, including the ultra populated servers like Balmung which are currently completely closed off to them. More people being able to buy from them = even more bots flooding into the servers to keep up with the demand in THAT department, taking up even more server space in the end.

You should never, EVER do anything that makes it easier for gold sellers to operate. Until the devs can solve that problem, the risks far outweigh the positives for a majority of the population.
