[REQUEST] Please stop making cash shop items for one character on the account.

They must have gotten all the profit they wanted from the game already and if everyone quit playing and no one else bought a single thing from the Mog Station they would just kill the game and move on to another project, they could also try to squeeze the last out of FFXIV by running it as a F2P game until it inevitably died!...

The main point of my thread originally was about non-event emotes. If former-event items/emotes are going on the cash shop, I feel personally that how they're obtained in game at the original point of release should be irrelevant. To each their own, though.

i'm all for bringing account wide versions of ex-promo items and cash shop only items, but not previous event items where only the character who did the event earned it. Or make it that everyone, who have the archievement on 1 character of the whole account get also the items for all the other characters without paying for it.

Less cash shop, more promotion events

So NA people can just buy more things off amazon and EU people have to chase the single store close enough to them to reach in a day that sells whatever item SE picks out for them? Plus some people can afford cash shop items, but not the needless junk SE promotes. Or live somewhere where it's pretty much impossible to get any promotion campaign stuff. Yes cash shop, but a little less cash-grabby and more pay for what things are actually worth.

I would love this. I hate that I feel really punished for every alt I make because that particular character wasn't "around" for the holiday - even though I've personally partaken in just about every single one.

I'm fine with this.

For example, the "play dead" emote was never available from an in game event (AFAIK) and really is the sort of thing that should be available by default anyway.

It's currently the only option to make a character "lie down" when not on a bed while most other MMOs have a /liedown emote by default.

I just joined this game, and I would buy things from the store. I refuse until what I pay for applies to all account characters.
