The last time I played BDO I played the female samurai style class (the name escapes me at the moment).
With every step, one of my character's arms clipped in an incredibly noticeable way right through the bow on their back.
BDO has plenty of clipping.
didnt say it free of it. the original classes are have not so much of it but the one they added later are not so good.
thing is all lond and most of mid hairs clippeing badly
Yep. The deal is getting them to act on it, but any mod is a ToS break and a ban.
SE already goes out of their way to shut-down modders, anyway. Look at what they did with Nier Automata and the modders that did major bug-fixes. The only ones they don't seem to care about are the ones that affect lighting, like that SpecialFX or something, add-on.
I do recall a modder found a way in 1.0 to render avatars with different hairstyles, essentially unlocking some not available otherwise.
Besides, the FFXIV team has already put their foot down on mods as it would potentially create a massive disparity between PC and console players (which is one reason why they are anti-parse, the other being risk of toxicity).
For those who don't know FFXIV has had "mods" for two or more years, I just found out a few days ago, however, the ones behind those mods would not tamper with player advantages over others because it wouldn't work since the servers check everything that is done inside the game!...
The mods I've been able to find just change the character's "looks", a good example is that they allow characters to get rid of those horrible sandals and that is only possible by changing the model and or textures used by the game to display feet!...
These mods are obviously just visible for the player using them, like any other mod but that doesn't make it less impressive, given what they can do!...
I wouldn't use mods in this game, I couldn't risk my account but some do and they have more fun and I doubt SE can't tell they're seeing what they shouldn't!...
I don't even care about mods, if SE would just give us this game in 4K quality but it will never happen, too much work and no budget, probably!...![]()
Simple reason. The other games don't support console.
Still waiting for that HyurElezen option, Square Enix.
Honestly I am kind of on the fence about this.
On the one hand, I would welcome more customization options, sliders even. On the other hand, I agree that having limited options and no sliders is the only way to enforce consistent aesthetics in-game.
In other games, we've all seen players who intentionally make an ugly character. FFXIV doesn't really need that. They put in a lot of effort to ensure the consistency and overall aesthetic quality of the game world, and the last thing we want would be a 132cm Miqo'te with 95/55/85cm proportions running around.
So I'm all for more face outlines, more eybrows, proper hairstyles, etc, but not sliders for things like eye distance and cheek height etc.

PS3 limitations. Although now it's more low-end PC limitations. It's still the exact same creator as could function on PS3.
Interestingly, from personal experience of playing on a mediocre laptop on PS3 up though HW, it appeared that the PS3 was graphically tuned lower than the lowest settings on PC. It really was that weak.
