One more theory for Udumbara that may be of note. I believe there is a leve quest which requires you to harvest parts from the big tree in The Fringes. Is there any reason why they might not tie the spawn to that single leve quest?

In other news, gathered over 200 persimmons, I have not yet seen it. I will keep going as I need them for crafting anyway, then I think I am going to try going after the leve quest, and then try and kill 100 (to be on the safe side) of four different mobs in the area; Diakka (the swamp dwellers), Sapira (ochu like mobs) and Leshy (ent-like creatures) and mosslings. Not sure which order I should try; anyone have any suggestions on which they think is the most likely? Or should I try the kuduz root first?

There's a fairly good chance it's not even off its respawn timer still.

I've personally never seen the SB S ranks spawn until at least 55 hours had passed since maintenance (Which incidentally, is around when the HW S ranks come off respawn).

Some of the HW hunts have a similar respawn time, so perhaps Gamma is one of the faster ones.

Angada can be tanked by Machinist.
Just strafe around and kite her, assuming you have a healer of course.
All her attacks has a delay, during which you can safely run away~
Running in circles for 10 minutes is not fun, tho.

p.s. Bard can do that too.

Just a thought I had about Bonecrawler: Perhaps it's like Chernobog (formerly Mahisha), where you have to die in zone. Except instead of you dying, your chocobo companion has to die.
