Now the most common question is "What's the macro I need to use to HQ this craft?"
what see next addon ? craft like a WoW ? collect all mats and press button to craft HQ ? I worry about blue craft gear , artifact PVE sets now dont buy for new tomestone , and same fate blue craft/gathering gear ? only yellow script ?

Wait what? It's easier? About time, I literally only end game crafted for the sailor suit, anima weapon and the Ravana weapon. Everything else wasn't worth it. Glad they made it easier. I was planning on skipping it this time around since HW required insane amount of grinding that was easily replaced with the most current patches. Glad I didn't waste to much time on crafting since everything gets replaced.

Let's be real, here. HW crafting was harder than ARR crafting until late in the expansion.

You're right about the usage of macros atm, though. I can't really find that to be a bad thing since this is an effect of them reducing the overall reliance on RNG in effective rotations - a good thing in itself - but I can see why it could seem off-putting to some who enjoyed the hectic nature of more RNG in harder crafts.

If you're incompetent, you can’t know you’re incompetent. The skills you need to produce a right answer are exactly the skills you need to recognize what a right answer is.

The only thing hard about HW crafting was that it was hard fighting the urge to unsub every time I press Maker's Mark.

The macro usage is a symptom of easier crafts. I'm perfectly fine with macros, I love finding optimal macros that give me an edge.
However RNG is not a bad thing, RNG makes each craft different and interesting.

I mean, HW tried RNG crafting with Specialism and look where that ended up. >.>

To me it felt like it just bloated the rotation without a good payoff.

I dunno how you guys feel. But I am really bored... by the same rotations and boring gear appearances. All I felt was being punished by the gil I spent on overmelds...

What was I looking for? Well, I don't think I could ask for really difficult items yet. But at least give us something prettier... rather than some re-skins... I felt being ripped off by the overmelds.

You may say "Hey, no one says you have to overmeld like that! There's yellow scrip gear!". Oh, oops, turned out those are just expensive anyway with the crazy amount of yellow scrips needed. And the fact that I didn't even acquire a single yellow scrip gear or tool, and still able to macro all those 2 star... well, just boring.

The new crafting skills represent some new possibilities... I think they could have opened some exciting new avenues in the world of crafting for us. Maybe it's just not the time yet? Until then, can't we have some prettier glamor gear for now to keep us happy? You know, shiny weapons? Sexy clothing? Sassy boots & gloves? etc.? (or the other way around... sexy weapons and shiny clothing would have been fine too)
Welcome to FF14 crafting. It's been the same since ARR. You never overmeld the first set unless you can do it cheaply or by yourself and you only do it so that you can eventually craft the final universal set and then meld that so that you can sell stuff to other crafters. I'm less disappointed in the state of crafting in 4.0 and more disappointed in how little room I have for crafting after having taken all of my classes to 60 and several to 70. I don't even think opening up that final tab is going to cut it anymore. I currently need to wait until the new crafting beast tribe opens up, because I don't have the space for all of the mats that I would need to gather up and use.

I don't agree with you, people macro stuff because it's dead boring after 100 times to manually crafting anything no matter how hard or easy it is.

Way way waaaayyy to early to judge the system. Plus there's no specialist recipes yet. This is just the first batch of crafting.

But I do have to say I can still HQ from 0% using my exact same rotation I used from beginning of HW with the required control and craft. My only change was to add Ing 2 before BS.

I'm pretty sure they moved away from specialist recipes, and instead added specialist abilities that are much more helpful, along with making byregot's brow more useful (100% success rate as specialist), as well as giving specialists an extra 15 cp at the start of a craft.

Combined with the 20 craft/control from the soul, and the new SB abilities, it makes it much easier for someone with a single craft at 70 to hq things.
