Given how many female-only NPC items are waiting in the sidelines I would expect this one to be male-only unless support for more unisex gear (from S-E more than players) improves. After Aymeric it may be best not to get hopes too high.

Well there is the viking/level 60 maiming set that looks similar as well as the paladin armor, though one kight wonder why some of the devs are so incessant with the pointless genderlocking feature seeing how on most armor the only thing that makes something femeinine/masculine is that it females got a smaller form and wider hips...

I don't get it either; they allow guys to wear all kinds of skirts, ribbons, flowers and crop tops when it suits them then throw down the gender lock randomly. But the fact is that there's a lot of NPC gear on the way which is blatantly going to be female-only, such as Edda's gorgeous outfit which has already been promised. Given how small the potential male-only pool is and how lazy they are about gear for male characters in general (we're at 2.5 years since the bunny ear debacle began!), if we get the Griffin's gear in the cash shop I'd expect it to be locked.
