    To disincentivize the use of double Physical Ranged Compositions.

    It probably would have made more sense to give Bard and Machinist some way of proccing their own piercing debuff so they weren't eternally shackled to Dragoon in order to bring out their damage potential.

    Yeah... I was hoping they would've added a 'Piercing resist down' role action for BRD/MCH, so that it can be applied in a Dragoon-less team.

    The debuff could even be tacked on to one of the existing Graze skills, so there wouldn't be a need to create a new ability!

    If they nerfed disembowled because they didn't want the double ranged to happen again, why not buff the Heavy thrust bonus then.

    They buffed all of our weapon skills pretty substantially to make up for that 5% loss. I mean, Full Thrust got 80 Potency boost. The other weaponskills got 20-50 potency added too.

    My impression was the increased potency was to make up for losing the DoT from sustaining Phlebotomize on a target.

    Those buffs also addressed the removal of phlebotomize, power surge, leg sweep, (maybe less geirskoguls too?) not just disembowel. They came in a little too low then gave DRG a bad gauge mechanic on top of it and here we are.

    Don't forget BfB. Dragon sight does NOT make up for it as one: it comes up 5% short (to give to the other player duh huh) and it is on a longer timer? What the fuck were they thinking? Sunny hirose did a comparison between the 60 rotation and the 64 rotation and it ended up under 1% improvement which means not factoring oGCD power changes (jump, gsk, mirage dive, bfb etc) our new rotation is just about 1% stronger than our old one.
