I've always dreamed of Oaths becoming OGCDS, that would make for some more fluid gameplay.
But the PLDS would stay in sword oath, swap to shield oath (using it like a spammable Rampart), and then swap back after a tank buster with no penalty.

As long as it's a minor nerf I guess it's ok but Paladin really didn't need it at all. Maybe it's just a token nerf...?

I find it so funny that people are actually ok with PLDs getting nerfed, like the fact that PLDs being at the top of the DPS charts is something bad, WARs have been there for both ARR and HW and it was considered normal and ok, whats so bad about PLD being the best now?

Oh, I don't know.. maybe the fact that they also bring the BEST raid utility of the three tanks as well? Let's also ignore WARs intended purpose of dealing higher damage while tanking. I can't speak for DRK as I really don't know what direction they're trying to take it in. Maybe a middle of the road "safe" option somewhere between the other two?I find it so funny that people are actually ok with PLDs getting nerfed, like the fact that PLDs being at the top of the DPS charts is something bad, WARs have been there for both ARR and HW and it was considered normal and ok, whats so bad about PLD being the best now?
Dear Paladins: Please ask your Scholar buddy(probably your Ast buddy now) what they do when they know there's a big AoE attack coming up. They'll tell you: They cast a group shield, and then they probably cast Sacred Soil or Collective Unconscious to reduce the damage.
Now think about what you, personally, can do. Think about it. Huh, looks like you got a group shield that scales off of your Vit, doesn't it? Huh... looks like you've got a way to reduce the damage everyone takes too, doesn't it? And would you look at that, it's the most powerful one.
For god's sake, the amount of cool tank shit you can do is amazing. You SHOULDN'T be doing the most damage out of all the tanks, and if you've decided that's where you should be, there's no helping you. You guys bring more damage mitigation to the party than a White Mage, and you can't figure out why anyone would take you if you did lower damage?

And then it turns out PLD can solo tank the content.
Even assuming they increase the cast time to 3 sec (which I doubt, more like 2.5 sec at most), you'd have 1 HS ouside of the Requiestcat and you'd slightly clip your GCD dur to your oGCD. Big deal, that's just having to deal was all other class have to deal with.it's not a potency decrease per se, its a potency decrease via increased cast time (probably 3 seconds) which destroys our requiescat window and the OGC's we can weave in between casts, so it's also a nerf to the gameplay/fluidity of the class making it a lot more clunkier and less fluid and less fun to play.
I don't hear DRK crying because they are pretty much forced to clip their GCD for DA+CS.
I find PLD boring BECAUSE it is too fluid. Everything in their rotation lines up perfectly. The rotation is pretty much given on a silver plate...
Slowing down HS will also effect GB. The rotation works perfectly right jow and there going to make it clunky. The buffs to the other 2 tanks should be more then enough to balance out and make PLD lowest DPS and thats fine. They dont need to adjust a class that is already fluid and make it clunky. U already gave the otjer tanks rampart allowing them to have an extra big tank def CD woth faster CD times which arguably makes them better MTs and then now theyll do more damage making them better OTs too
Even if it's not a major nerf, fuck nerfing PLD already. WAR has been lording over the tanking meta forever now. Let them cry in the corner for a while. They'll live.
