i think that the reason they are hesitant to speak on official release of Shirogane housing is due to the fact they are trying to come up with applicable solutions to appease most of the community without causing an uproar or making it so that people don't get their hopes up too high if they lose out on getting a house =/ in all likely hood though i have a feeling their answer to our concerns will just be like this: "we'll be extending the amount apartments for players to buy, and with that in mind we've noticed players have a tendency to abandon older districts in favor of the newer 1s so rest assured everyone has a chance to get a place of their own."

There's already 2,160 more apartments on the way once Shirogane opens itself up for purchases. So far it appears Balmung is still the only server that sold out of apartments and since it's been months since that was a thing, I very much doubt they're going to be adding additional in anytime soon.
