i have a feeling their answer to our concerns will just be like this: "we'll be extending the amount apartments for players to buy, and with that in mind we've noticed players have a tendency to abandon older districts in favor of the newer 1s so rest assured everyone has a chance to get a place of their own."

There's already 2,160 more apartments on the way once Shirogane opens itself up for purchases. So far it appears Balmung is still the only server that sold out of apartments and since it's been months since that was a thing, I very much doubt they're going to be adding additional in anytime soon.

Honestly I will be happy to have an apartment. Being on a larger server, I know for a fact having a house of my own is impossible at the moment.

They're obviously putting together preventative measures to stop people buying multiple plots. We just don't know how the restriction will materialise yet

Could have always just bought one when a bunch got freed up after a number of people left Balmung during that free transfers off period. Which is what I did. Managed to finally nab an apartment in The Mist thanks to that.

He should release it without any word he did so that people who check it regulerly get first cas it would be funny to see the entitlement flow through the rich wile the poor scoop up a house XD

Waiting until 4.1 or a bit more is overall a good idea.

By that time the last of the fair-weather MMO hoppers will have swapped or decided to stay, so there's less likely to be a 'massive' strain on the servers or an influx of houses that just get abandoned and demolished months down the line.

I am fairly certain on servers like Balmung, the Shirogane plots will be gone in less than 5 minutes. How long did it take to sell all plots when they doubled the wards?

I would be curious to see if they introduce any FC first measures. Like keeping the new wards exclusive for FC for a couple of days before opening them to the general market.

If we could build a shirogane-style house in other housing areas, I'd be happy. Did SE ever say why we couldn't do that? I get wanting all houses to look somewhat similar, but we also have moogle houses, piassa houses, and chocobo houses. xD Model homes kind of went out the window, so I don't see why they don't open it up so you can build any kind of house in any area.
