Seriously though. When, on the first run, everyone but your WHM has taken 2 dirt naps before a wipe there's an issue.
And can DPS please stop getting rekt by bubbles?
Then that makes it even worse, because that would mean he went through every dungeon and trial before Snowcloak, that all gives you poetics, and still couldn't be bothered to buy a single piece of 120 gear.
And seriously, an ilvl 49 belt? When job quests give you an ilvl 90 belt as it is?

That feel when you do Catastrophe, the tank gets 6 stacks of vulnerability, and the healer takes it into their own hands to help them avoid at least one mechanic...
...only to find the tank decides to fuck that noise and runs right back into the tentacle the healer pulled him away from. Twice.
Needless to say at that point, the healers helped clear out the gene pool and let him die.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
So, I want to share a little story that doesnt belong here to 100% because it doesnt involve the DF. Infact, it doesnt even involve other people.
It only involves me, my chocobo and a sea serpent that was casting their petrifaction move. Naturally, I turned my back to avoid it. I kinda felt sorry for my poor bird who would get turned into stone in a moment and wished I could shout at him "Kelvin! Turn around!"
...and then my bird stuns the damn mob. While I didnt even thought of using Low Blow...
If anyone ever asks me for help with anything again, I'll recommend taking my chocobo instead while I'll be sobbing in a corner, outsmarted by a bird...
What is it about the mechanic with the tower that only one person has to stand in that people don't understand? Why is this so hard for people? It means the same thing in every duty "one person stand here"
I had a RDM in Castrum Abania fail this twice miserably on the second boss. First, he ran to the one i was already standing in, noticed i was standing there, then started to make his way to the other one, but stopped moving halfway there to cast fleche...an instant cast ability.... and he waited for the animation to end completely before he began moving again. He didn't make it in time.
The second time, he was standing right next to one, literally had to move 3 feet to get to it, but instead he ran and stood with me in the one i was standing in.
We almost died both times he failed.
In other stories, have you ever been healing, and a tank asks you at the beginning if big pulls are okay, only to have a DPS answer for you. Like, okay mister dragoon, you can heal this dungeon then.

i think level 50 job quests give a full left side of 90s.Then that makes it even worse, because that would mean he went through every dungeon and trial before Snowcloak, that all gives you poetics, and still couldn't be bothered to buy a single piece of 120 gear.

Did he ask you specifically or was it a general question? Big pulls affect everybody.![]()

While this is definitely true, most of the time it's primarily directed at the healer - if they can't handle or heal through large pulls properly, then the entire thing falls apart. If the dps can't do quite so much damage on a big pull, it just takes a bit longer (but again, if the healer can handle it, it's not as big a deal).
This is true. But if you ask"Can we/you handle big pulls?" And a DPS says "I can." I don't think it's a surprise. While this is definitely true, most of the time it's primarily directed at the healer - if they can't handle or heal through large pulls properly, then the entire thing falls apart. It can be, if the healer is under the assumption it's directed at them alone (not saying said assumption is always correct, but y'know how things go)! But either way, most dps I notice just quietly go along with whatever. xD Averax's little line still gave me a chuckle, pfft.
