A no-food macro and a Stone Soup macro for minimally melded level 70 crafters

I have finally achieved All-70 DoH status in Storm Blood. So I started developing macros that will ease my crafting. The goal here - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger! - to develop macros for level 70 crafters with minimal melds on Storm Blood white gear (and some Heavensward gear too, like myself). I don't want them to just "work". I want them to "work well", but with easily-achievable stats.

First, let's share my puny level 70 stats:

As you can see above, NO SPECIALIST soul crystal is needed.

These are my melds if you are curious. I have some strongly melded i170 and i190 accessories, and some minimally melded Storm Blood white gear:

The first rotation is a No-Food rotation for 1353 Difficulty 40 durab items (lvl 68 recipes). So you can use this on all 40 durab items without eating food, and yet HQ-ing like a boss at 100% success rate (except when the Blessing falls on an unlucky Poor). Below is the break-down:

This rotation goes up to IQ9, with a Blessing buffed with Ingen2. Guaranteed HQ from pure NQ mats if you have my control level.

    The 2-part macro:
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Manipulation II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Precise Touch"
    /ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /echo 1353 Diff part 1 (425cp No Food) <se.2>

    /ac "Steady Hand" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.4>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.2>
    /echo 1353 Diff part 2 (425cp No Food) <se.2>

The second rotation is a low-CP rotation (requires only NQ Stone Soup) for 2952 Difficulty 80 durab items (lvl 70 recipes). So you can use this on pretty much everything with 80 durab except 1 star recipes and above. Below is the break-down:

*Note: I put a +1 IQ stack at the Patient Touch in the above calculations. It can actually be +2 IQ stack there. So this rotation can go up to IQ11 if the Patient Touch is successful. The last touch has a chance to be a Precise Touch. In the case that the Patient Touch fails, and the last touch is only a Basic Touch, it still has IQ9 with a Innov+Ingen2 buffed finisher. So far, even at IQ9, this macro still hasn't failed me yet in HQ-ing the final product.

    And here's the 2-part macro:
    /ac "Muscle Memory" <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
    /ac "Manipulation II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Patient Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /echo 2952 Diff part 1 (448CP) <se.2>

    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Precise Touch"
    /ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Innovation" <wait.2>
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.3>
    /ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis III" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
    /echo 2952 Diff part 2 (448CP) <se.2>

The beauty of these rotations lies in the spending of durability BEFORE using Manipulation II. This allows the restoration of durab during the SH II step(s) in the middle of Manip II. Thus, no durab is lost.

Both rotations also made use of Prudent Touch to leave 5 durab hanging before the finisher phase. This allows an extra touch to be made without affect remaining durability. (For instance, if you let your durab fall to even numbers before your finisher phase, then you're practically wasting a chance of doing 1 extra touch!)

The second rotation also perfectly wrapped up all the touches within 2 SH II's, greatly saving CP. This rotation also fitted in a second Comfort Zone. In normal cases, there would not be sufficient steps to recover the invested CP. But I used a string of CS II's here to buy a few more steps. Thus, there is enough steps to recover all CP to be used on the final finisher phase and CS III.

Both macros are strong enough to go from 0 quality to max. So feel comfortable to use NQ mats.

Both macros will also "BEEP" when they finish, which is something I love.

FYI you can buy NQ Tempura Platter and NQ Miso Soup with Tofu from the Independent Culinarian in Kugane. That should give you more CP to play with and up your macros to 100% HQ (IE no patient touch)

But... even when the Patient Touch fails, I am still getting 100% HQ rate... haha! -v-' I guess you can substitute it with a Basic/precise touch for 12 more CP if you don't like the Patient T.

Anyway, it is good info for those who don't know about this vendor at Kugane. But aren't those food like 2k each? Stone Soup is only 37 gil at the Gold Saucer though.

Very nice post OP! Will def use this for reference. Also, those right side i170 accessories make me sad. You should be on fully melded Ironworks accessories.

    Thanks!

Sensei Nabeeeeshinn made me the whole set of Ironworks accessories when I came back to the game. But I gave most of my money to all my friends when I left, so I didn't have money to overmeld them all. Thus, I only melded 3 pieces of Ironworks, and used those i170 all the way until now. They seem quite sufficient. Of course, I have NQ-ed once or twice when I dealt with 4 star items in Heavensward. But overall I didn't find the need to meld my remaining 3 Ironworks accessories. Even my my non-specialist classes were able to craft HW 4 star recipes, as long as I pop a Control II FC buff and a Seafood Stew HQ. Thus, there just wasn't enough incentive for me to overmeld those Ironworks. But I can assure you that I will do some stronger melds when green/blue accessories arrive in Storm Blood soon in the future!

You might want to upgrade your rotation with the following :

    I use this rotation
    - 1226 craftsmanship (slightly above what is needed)
    - 1156 (way higher than what's needed)
    - 445 CP. Only 23 steps. (instead of 26)

(From the sim, the minimum stat to make it work seem to be 1190 / 1066 - but I can't test it with my current gear)

    Enjoy !

I see now. You took away both CZs from the rotation, and didn't use Ingen2. Used 7 steps for progress, but took out 1 touch... So at the end, you will likely have fewer IQ stacks than me, and also a slightly weaker Byregot finisher, and yet it is still more than enough to HQ it at 100%. So basically, I "overkilled" in my rotation. I needed 3 more CP than yours, and 3 more steps than yours, but added a lot of extra "fire power" that wasn't necessary.

It is ok. It just means that people with A LOT less control than both you and me can still use my rotation and HQ with ease by spending just 3 more CP

I did say "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger!" on my first post. Yours is definitely "Faster", but mine is still "Stronger"! :P

That also means, an i290 set HQ gives 1211/1101/ 358, and people who craft casually have nothing to meld except CP.

Thanks I didn't realize they had this there... need to check the price to see if its even worth making HQ Tempura platters then... Given how I used food last time I suspect it won't be

And the rotation looks good Caimie. It looks very similar to one of the first ones I worked up in theory. I haven't finished unlocking Manipulation 2 yet because I'm slowly working through them and enjoying... so I'm using some weird semi range rotation with WasteNot II and... a stupid amount of projected quality... absolutely dumbfounding. Still seeing if I can make a 1 star no food macro I'm happy with though... that would be nice
