That's all well and good but why the hell would they leave the MSQ there when this is a problem? Make a separate instance for the MSQ players or something.

And besides didn't the Odin clusterfuck in 2.0 teach them anything? I thought it did when they made a trial version. But now we're at square one all over again.

There was no clusterfuck with Odin for whatever reason. The trial is completely unrelated and has nothing to do with that: It was the battle challenge at the first Fan Fest and then added to the game in the following patch, just like how Proto-Ultima was the battle challenge at the last one and then added a patch later.

Odin spawned in a random zone in the shroud. You couldn't camp one particular zone for it.
