    Some healers make me panic

This usually happens in the dungeon content where you get a healer who just loves to dps. Nothing wrong with that, but it just irks me when they let my hp drop to almost nothing before casting a big heal or benediction. Problem is, I start to get worried when my hp drops too low (15-20% or less). When it does, I use living dead and then... boom! Benediction or 2x lustrates before living dead even procs. There goes that wasted skill.

I know this is more of a me problem, but I don't know if they're going to lag suddenly (happens more often than I like) or fumble their heals just before I die... so I use living dead, only to see it wasted. And if I don't use it, they ask why I didn't. Then I ask why they didn't heal me, then we get into this stupid argument instead of continuing with the dungeon.

    Any advice?

Good healers will always push DPS. If the rate of damage is slow, sure Ill let you hit 20%!

Nothing wrong with an unprocced living dead. It's more of a oops safety net compared to Pld and War, unless you're with a WHM who knows when to use bene. SCHs especially never want living dead to proc, as it takes massive resources to bring you back up.

Just keep doing what you're doing; The only hit point that matters is the last one.

I get that but that's the best case scenario. I'm talking about all the others in between, like the healers who have accidents (fumbled heals, sudden lag spike, etc) which could be alleviated by healing at a higher hp threshold. Maybe around the 50% hp area, or even 35%.

In a pug, I start taking action below 50%, below 20% and its hardcore survival mode.

    Couple exception:
    * WHM if bene not used. They need you low to optimize.
    * SCH at the very start of a fight. They've got a bit of startup time on their DPS.

Honestly though, with HW cleric stance gone, there is very little reason for them to drop you below 50%

    Stone, Stone, cure II
    And
    Stone, cure II, stone

    are the same dps

In all honesty tanking in most dungeons is so boring that I occasionally let my tank drop to <20% while dps'ing to make sure he doesn't fall asleep. (Same for me).

I usually let Tanks drop to around 30% before I take action, 50% if I don't have insta heals.

I sometimes get the tanks that scream "heals!?", but I really rather not stop in the middle of my DPS just to heal you when I know you'll be fine.

You really gotta trust your healer with this. Just like you know how much damage you can handle, we know how low your HP can drop before we need to heal.

You know what's fun? Be in voice chat with your healer. When you hear them screaming in terror when you're at 20%, you may proceed to panic. Their butt is clenching just as tight as yours at this point. xDD

Alternatively do what I do: When you drop quietly give them a death glare and huff at friends. If it's just a poorly timed C2, shrug it off and adjust pulls accordingly. If they looked like they were just spamming S4 like a bot, kick them. Bots don't belong in group content.

I absolutely hate this kind of healers who tries to 'push dps' at expense of more healing. Good healer is the one who keeps me alive and don't make me feel like I could die at any moment. Healer dps isn't really such a big deal. Now, if healer dps and:
    1) any dd dies - now that's a big dps loss.
    2) tank dies - possible wipe
I'd say big risk for... little bit of extra dps healer provides?
I'd rather have healer just heal and throw dps once in a while when it's really safe than recklessly pushing his dps and risking failing his job which is... KEEPING PARTY ALIVE!
