We're you using a job that was level 60? As far as I am aware it's only available if you are level 60+.
Someone beat me to the punch.

Yeah, I made a mistake. If you gave me like 2 seconds you would have seen I edited me post.![]()
Sorry, i was happened to refresh it. Haha.
Don't know if someone else explained in full detail prior, didn't bother to read the whole thread. So, your actual answer:
Adventurer in need bonus is calculated at the point of duty completion (for leveling roulette, this is when the last boss of the dungeon dies and the chest appears). Even though the Duty Finder may have stated that tank was the adventurer in need, that could have changed by the time you cleared the content (especially if it was near the time of daily reset).
This is horrible design, I know. I empathize with you about it, as I too have been screwed over by it many, many times (hence why I researched how it works). My advice, since they're never going to fix this, is to simply view the adventurer in need as a "random reward" type of deal, with tank being the highest chances to succeed.
Far as I know is at random. From 12 runs I got 7 as a tank. Only from tank 70+. I've yet to see it on 60+. I hear you can , yet haven't experienced it. Tried with formed party 0 rewards, solo seems to work. Incentive to help queue wait times.
Hmm, I don't think that is right. I mean, I used to go in with DPS when it was in need. It was rare, I don't think that by the time I completed the instance, it will be another DPS in need.
The forums are saying you are 50 marauder... I think the pertinent question, as mentioned above, is what level tank were you on? If it's below level 60 you won't be getting cracked clusters.
I am almost confident that is completely incorrect. Why would they offer the reward to get people to help start a dungeon/roulette to change it while inside? Otherwise the rare occasion the DPS are in need, they would never get the reward.Don't know if someone else explained in full detail prior, didn't bother to read the whole thread. Like AlphaFox and Neri said, I'm pretty sure the bonus from being in need to determined before you even enter the dungeon. As long as you queue while in need you will get the reward, even if it changes while you wait for the queue to pop.
