How would the playerbase feel about buying a housing plot from the MogStation?

As a lot of players have been playing for years without getting a shot at getting a house (myself included) and as it is the cause for a lot of grief in the playerbase.

Why not make it possible to buy a housing plot from the MogStation?

Note: I'm not suggesting that people paying real life cash would get the existing plots, but that the funds coming from people purchasing a plot from the Mogstation could pay back the cost of making more wards and more server space and eventually overturn a good profit for SE.

I know it's more complicated than that, but why not capitalize on something that is in high demand? We don't mind paying for an in game wedding, why not an in game house?

They would first need to rework their awful housing system and instead go the route of Eso and make them instanced.
I am not sure how i would feel buying from Mogstation, i most likely would not if they would go that route tbh.

I can see the idea behind this, but it will go down like a lead balloon. If they did this, it would just further incentivise them to make content locked behind housing only, possibly even going so far as core content requiring a house. At least with costumes, orch roles, housing items, and the stuff currently in, there's not much room to throw extra content that requires said mog station content to be had. Housing already has gardening (w/ cross breeding) and workshops, gated behind it.

They could have simply done Instance Housing like Wildstar... but no they want it to feel like a neighborhood where people gather and meet their next door neighbor... look how that system backfired... Also OP most will disagree with you just saying.

Honestly, they need to rework the Housing System to make it available to more of the playerbase before considering anything.

Why not just add more housing instead of paying more money than we already pay for this game? If the excuse is techinical limitations, then suddenly opening up more housing plots through Mogstation sales just proves that's false, and that they can do it. No. SE gets enough money and should provide more housing plots, instead of charging people for them. Seriously. Be careful saying "We'll pay for it!" because they'll sooner do that, charge you for it, instead of implementing more free housing plots like they should!

Apropos of nothing, housing NOT being on the Mogstation is the clear indicator to me that there's serious technical limitations or cost involved in constantly making new housing wards. Because I guarantee that if it were feasible, SE would be making sweet sweet Mogstation dollas by selling it to the playerbase as much as they can.
