No. Because that would be a disservice, and a blatant cash grab for a problem they could have prevented.

I'd unsubscribe and sub to play only when an expansion rolls out.
With a sub minus minor things, nothing of importance should be locked behind an additional paywall. I think games are so annoying when you don't know for sure what you have access to even if you subscribe even though 95% of other games have no subscription.

If you're talking about the Shirogane housing, no one's buying because they can't. It's just available for viewing atm.I did chuckle a bit, walking through the brand new housing area on my server and seeing it still completely empty.
I realize most are waiting for the price to hit its lowest and all, but it does make me giggle. All that bark for a new area and no bites thus far.
Wish they would just scrap this dumb housing and use the storage space for something else. My "neighbors" are barely ever around as is.
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

Of course most will disagree we already pay a subscription to play...
The neighbourhood system backfired because no one spends time in the wards. Because they all clog up not Shona. Then iddyllshire and currently the reach.
I suggested in another thread that the various time vendors and stuff should be in the residential wards. Spread the palyerbase out a lot. And if you had a residential chat. Then they\\'d be no need to sit in the reach to catch the various shouts.
We pay a sub with that everything in the game should be attainable through actual game play. Even little things like the play dead emote..
Hell put that emote behind tank 50 levelling roulettes and watxh those dps queue times hit the floor.
Everything on the log station should be attainable from playing the game and paying your sub
They should do it. only the poor people will complain about it going to mogstation.
Didn't we have a thread about this just couple days/week ago?
I'd prefer FCs to be able to purchase a whole ward for themselves and limit people to one house per server. That way FC members can buy houses on their FCs ward or be among the normal people.
Housing needs a total and completely revamp.
And friggin' change it to ONE house per account or one per server.
I think they could take a page out of ESO's book and only offer unique housing as a one-time fee on Mog Station. Yes, they messed up the idea that there would be enough houses for everyone with the current ward system. And it seems they have difficulty adding more wards - and I agree that it seems like we'd be "paying for their mistakes", but hear me out --
Putting those points into consideration, I think it would be worth entertaining the idea of "glamour housing" to go above and beyond the more traditional housing system. So something like a Coerthan cabin, a Xaela yurt, a home on a floating island in the Sea of Clouds, something unique that once you buy it, it's yours. The property would have to be in its own region which looks and works similar to current housing wards so you could still have a garden, chocobo stable, etc. But it would be in a more unique/exclusive location.
The payment would be a one-time fee that would grant you access to the area so you can pick out a plot. If you pick out a plot but don't build on it within 30 days, it gets relinquished. This would be to prevent people from buying up mass plots in an area to hold onto. You also wouldn't be able to sell these plots to another player for in-game money. Non-refundable, non-transferable.
