Sooo..is square enix even going to say anything about this?? This looks like it has been going on for years...I just started this issue in Stormblood and it seems to happen to me mostly in dungeons and raids. =/

For me it seems to happen in bigger zones, while raiding and doing pvp i rarely have crashes.
in normal dungeons on the other hand i have them too.
They have acknowledged it before but its primarily an issue between drivers and the various gpu architectures and brands with gigabyte and msi having higher frequency of DX issues.

Just giving everyone an update on how things are with the fix that Heavenshell. Four days straight and not a single crash so far so good. Im pretty sure it was microsoft messing up my drivers and the reason i crashed.
I've been receiving this error occasionally in stormblood (maybe once every 8-10 hours). However, I was getting it CONSTANTLY tonight during some Susano EX farming. I would crash every single run at various points in the fight. I don't remember crashing in Susano EX ever before, but maybe it's something to do specifically with that fight?
GTX 1080 ti and 4770k
Heads up everyone with a R9 380(X), AMD released new drivers, 17.7.1.
Fixed a bug causing crashes on FFXIV and Little Nightmares on Radeon RX 300 Series graphics products.
I can't test right now, hopefully it's a permanent fix!

OMG OMG OMG... *runs off to install* I'll report back later!Heads up everyone with a R9 380(X), AMD released new drivers, 17.7.1.

Can confirm the 17.7.1 AMD driver has fixed the problem for me thus far. I would have crashed many multiple times by now in DX11 and have not yet crashed once. Instead of a crash I got an occasional stutter that was barely visible. I've had this issue for a long time and i'm sooooooooooooooooo happy this is working so I don't need to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a new card. I have an R9 380. I'll update again if I crash at all, but I think this has fixed it for good hopefully!
EDIT: Next day later and still no crashing![]()
