Crafted accessorizes to make a come back for off tanks?

Back in final coil a big thing for off tanks to do was to penta meld accessorizes for maximum dps since they didn't take most of the brunt of tanking anyways. Since you cannot use strength accessorizes and meld vit this time I feel like wearing vit accessorizes and melding strength would greatly improve your overall dps since you will probably get more than 25 Str per.

You can no longer overmeld main stats on pieces, so you're still capped at 25 Strength per accessory, whether it's crafted or not.

Quoting the 3.2 Patch Notes:

"Players are now unable to use advanced materia melding for the following parameters:

STR / DEX / VIT / INT / MND / PIE

* Materia melds that have taken place before Patch 3.2, including advanced materia melds, will continue to display the same effects."

This is why some tanks are currently using the i270 strength accessories, because it gives them the highest possible attack power.

We'll have to see what changes are made regarding tank accessories in patch 4.05 on July 18th to see which accessories and melds will be the most worthwhile going in to Delta Savage.

That said, I could see tanks picking crafted accessories and overmelding Direct Hit instead depending on what the upcoming changes do.

I was thinking the same thing. Penta-melded accessories will probably be the go-to once SE "deals" with the ilvl 270 workaround. Either that, or they give in and revert the change (or something with a similar effect to encourage usage of tank accessories).
