Machinist for sure, I play it quite often, did and heavensward, and still do in Stormblood, despite the spot it's currently in.



From what I've heard Bard actually out dps's it by a considerable margin. As does Paladin apparently?

Not sure about that. I do think people 'prefer' having a bard because of all the group buffs. I think a few things are pretty clear...
AST needs a nerf
SCH needs a buff
SUM, MCH, WAR, DRK need to be looked at.

This is a pretty accurate summation of my thoughts on class balance ATM too. Less sure about things like WAR/DRK since I don't keep up with tanks all that much, and SMN I think might just need a numbers tweak or save Aethertrail on death because I think the actual gameplay isn't too bad.

You forgot DRG. They need quite a few tweeks.
