Yeah, it can happen that the Adventurer in Need switches while waiting in queue.
It's been like that since before SB since it happened to me in HW atleast once.
And that is how I learned that it can change while waiting.

I actually vaguely recall this not being the case as said by SE: providing AIN is showing when you initially queue you will still get it - even if it changes. I'll try and hunt around for the informations.

Coming from the person who don't do Hunt, I say this is quite an interesting addition. More incentive for me to leveling tank up I guess.

Doubt it would've been much different if they added tanks or healer classes to the expansion.
Sure, people will pick it up to see how it works, but in the end many would drop the roles anyway and return to their usual DPS jobs.

Picking up DPS is easy, but being a good tank and healers isn't.

Hunts have become so toxic on my server that many hunt linkshells are afraid to even relay anymore. This should do a lot to give people another alternative. One has to see whether and how frequently the bonus is applied to healers as well.

Can't be, everyone said the DPS queues would not be worse than they were in HW because tanks would still play tanks and healers still play healers. =^)

i think this is a relaly good idea because now that the reward for helping on queues isnt absolute garbage 9k gil, people will now be willing to help

Gil is never garbage, though they could give new incentives to spend those company seals. The Grand Company vendors really need a proper Stormblood update of their inventory.

it won't make more people play tank... but it will make tank like me play more "rounds" of leveling routlette. more carrots for me while others cry foul.

Nothing wrong with that. It'll still get the queues moving faster. And if prefer playing as DPS, but have a tank leveled, then guess what? You can use your bonus on other jobs. Novel concept!
