Question.
What is this ixion fate I keep hearing about and why is it so popular?
And what zone is it even in?
The final zone you unlock in SB. Killing Ixion with a gold rating will give you enough horns to get the Ixion mount(I believe, I've only ever gotten silver and it gives 1 horn for that)

It's a fate that gives this mount:
That's also what the fate mob looks like. You need 12 horns. You get 2 for gold, 1 for silver, and lolenjoyyourwastedtime for bronze. It's like Courlregina or Odin or other special fates where it has its own weather to indicate that the fate is up but isn't visible on the map until discovered and spawns like every 36-72 hours.
Huh. Welp. Good think I don't care much for horse mounts lol.
But I won't lie that actually looks really cool... =(

Mass DC people talked about in this thread is not a joke actually. I really happens in congested areas. Which is basically every S rank and Ixion spawn on Ragnarok.

Strange, I wasn't aware this could even happen with FFXIV.
Most games will just automatically create more instances of a zone if it's near the limit. Even basket case SWTOR does that.

FFXIV generally doesn't need it. To be honest, I find it pretty disruptive and not fun, so I'm glad it doesn't work this way in this game. It was a change I went through in WoW and I really didn't like the results.
