Can we get a rdm/sam dreadwyrm weapon please?

We have the dreadwyrm sets for these jobs and the weapons have always been a good part of that look, just found out today there aren't weapons from final coil for the new jobs...which is odd considering there are tome 130 weapons.

So I get that may not have been a priority with all the work leading into Stormblood but could we get these added at some point?

I would like to see RDM and SAM added to all 3 Coils as well as some of the other level 50 loot tables like Rowena's Token Exchange and Gerolt's Masterworks. Hopefully SE will do so in a future patch.

They've already addressed this in a live letter and said that Coil weapons would not be available for SAM or RDM.

Which basically means they don't exist now. It doesn't preclude people asking them to change that.

I think the point Bounddreamer was trying to make was : they have said they specifically said they weren't going to so asking is kind of pointless.

i.e : ask all you like, but they've already said no.

Bleh, yeah I just found the letter. Seems silly to add in Ironworks gear but not Coils.

In a letter that was about what would be in the 4.0 release on June 20th, they said it wouldn't have them. That was already past by the time this thread was started, so no longer relevant. We already know it wasn't in at that point. Are we to say it's pointless to ask for anything that wasn't already present in that release? If that's the case, we can't ask for anything anymore.

I don't know how likely they are to agree to the request. Certainly they get more requests than they implement, so the chances of this particular one being approved are slim anyway. But a statement that a now prior release wouldn't have something is no reason to hold off on requesting it.
