Is this really a thing? Generally if one of the takes fudge up, as a WHM I become the new target. I've been the target of Ahk Mourn more than once.I'm not entirely sure how it works in 8-player runs, but a solo tank should be able to take both hits. I've done RM as a light party several times now, and the solo tank has no problems holding both wings' autos. Probably just based on how much more aggro the tank has than everyone else.

AST has the best MP sustain in the game if it focuses Ewer and Spear cards. If not, the WHM takes the cake. Some people disagree, but seeing as I've managed to solo heal a 7-player learning party (with a lot of deaths) through it without running out of MP, I beg to differ.
Yeah, I've found this happens in 8-mans a lot too. It's either that the tanks don't build enough aggro, or there's the other alternative, which is that the battle is designed to recognize that there are two tanks in play, and target the two highest sources of threat when this is the case. If that's how it works, then 4-manning it breaks the system by only having one tank for it to recognize, at which point it defaults to that tank only. Next time I do it as a light party, I'll see about having a spare tank come and camp the floor for the whole fight and see what happens :P.
I'll put my name in here too - if you haven't cleared and indeed are on Leviathan or Primal in general, I'm happy to heal it for you. Hyperion, here, probably done it around 15 times by now. I greatly enjoy the fight and enjoy helping people get through it since I know a large portion of the pain comes on the healers' backs.
Malboro here, but if you need a DPS to blow this thing up on Primal I'll toss my hat in the ring. I must've cleared it 30 times now!

I enjoy having this "wall". I know eventually players get carried thru/lucky but its been doing an okay job of keeping the real awful ones gated, even just temporarily. I take off gear before every trial roulette to avoid accidentally helping anyone break past it.
On topic it is fun to heal for a normal mode fight and I enjoyed it as well.

So that'll be around 8-9 Central (6-7 Pacific)? I'll make it a point to be around.
Server's are going down at 10 Central (8 pacific) today for maintenance. Should be enough time to get you in and out, hopefully!

I'm just glad it's like this. I beat it on my first run, we only wiped once.
The next day I joined to get 10 tomes I needed, got in a party 27 minutes in, everyone was angry and frustrated. We then beat it in one go, no more wipes. The fight it's easy, you just need decent healers.
And of course, you need the game to be working fine. I tried it last night and couldn't beat it out of constant 90001 and 90002. The game is unplayable for me as of last night.
Hope maintenance gets this fixed.
