He really felt to me like a more poorly written Luca Blight. The events in Suikoden 2 that lead you to being able to tackle Luca were much, much, much more believable than how Stormblood handles the power disparity between the WoL and Zenos as well as how that gap is closed.
I find him utterly terrifying, but strangely compelling company.

How? Last i checked he didnt put people in camps, kill them and turn their skin into paper, commit mass genocide nor blame suffering on other people or disregard the opinions of those he oppressed (Forolda).
In the state of war Zenos kinda sat in the grey area of what youre "supposed" to do in war and occupation in that time.
Zenos was an incredibly bland anime villain. Evil for the sake of evil, more powerful because the plot demands it, zero character depth. Literally the weakest story element of the entire expansion.
