    I cam here in hopes SE even acknowledged this issue but sadly not

    Thinking about it the trends seem to be:
    Non NA players, playing on NA servers,
    Disconnects occur mostly in instanced worlds with errors like 9000 xx (i experienced this loads)
    Multiple connections from one IP causes disruption (i ping pong with my partner, was awful when i reconnected in snowcloak he would immediately disconnect over and over again).

    Now what we do know:

    They are/have under a DDOS attack on an undisclosed server/s
    Massive amounts of congestion

    With the symptoms described i think they may have tightened policies to combat the DDOS attacks and screwed it up causing player IPs to be rejected when moving into instanced worlds or when more than one connection is being made from a single IP address. Maybe these DDOS attacks are stretching there limits so bad they have had to restrict a lot of connections, or maybe the DDOS attacks are working causing disruption to some servers.

    We need to know something at least!!

    What is currently going on is quite different from that, however.     Again, the fact that this happens regardless of time of day, only really since Patch 4.01 was implemented, and that primarily EU players on NA servers are affected, suggests that this has nothing to do with server congestion as we saw during Early Access. Either this is due to DDoS, or due to overzealous DDoS countermeasures implemented by Squenix, or an as of yet unknown server issue. The fact that so many different players from so many different countries all over the EU are affected also quite clearly shows that no single ISP is at fault here, which means the issue is likely NOT on the user-side of things.

    All of the little alternatives you mentioned above are super duper nice and all, but completely irrelevant to the topic at hand, as players are quite literally unable to access ANY content whatsoever at the moment, as attempting to even just *MOVE* their character gets them a 90k error.

    Read up on an issue first before making smug, ignorant, spiteful comments about hundreds of players having a genuine problem accessing the game across various platforms with nary a word of acknowledgement from Square Enix that the issue even exists. The game works for you? Cool.

    Go back to playing it then instead of involving yourself in a topic you know literally nothing about.

    And I'm also going to add: The problem is getting worst, right now I was being d/c with a 90k error without doing a thing, seconds after I log in... =(

    Oh I was also told by the same guy on the phone to make another character (because for some reason it let's me log in on a new character but not my main) and submit a gm report for them to zone my character out of Revenant's toll to a "safer spot". Which I went through the hassle of doing and then the gm said they wouldn't do that and they're not sure why customer service suggested it.

    You know... Just want to play the game my time card is ticking away on. I also had the pleasure of the ps4 key not working and had to wait 6 days for them to supply me with a corrected code. I've asked if I'm going to be compensated for almost 11 days of time card wastage and no response on that. They have absolutely no sense of customer care at all. It's shocking.

    Ok so this is coming from someone with no connection issues obviously you don't count among the many with this problem. This problem has persisted even before Stormblood which is more prevalent during expansions I will give you that. Before this 2 of my friends have quit "before expansion" and many others because they get DCed every 5/10 min. So you can take your perfect connection and go elsewhere unless you're offering a solution. I play on PC myself and have no problems some of my friends play on PS4 and still have the problem. This isn't a 1 console problem this is a server/ datacenter wide issue. Before adding your two cents read the forums because this does not just include Stormblood which is another set of problems but a problem that has been there that has been asking for a long time now to be addressed and fixed.

    Im pretty sure by now SE is fully aware or this situation, too many people have made this issue know throu tickets,support chat,email,forums,reddit etc... most likely they still don't know what or how this problem is being originated hence they can't give an official response saying they are looking into fixing it.

    Two possible outcomes will happen.

    1. SE finds the solution and gets to work about fixing it, lets the players know they are working on it. (least likely)
    2. The DDoS attacks stop/ SE gets a complete hold of their servers, but god knows bow long that will take. ( most likely)

    I'd like to add that the reasons people are angry is that this is for a PAID service. So they owe us a response. If I'm paying for something I expect a certain level of customer care and attention. I've known companies in the sector I work in fined for less than this.

    Also quite a few of us have enjoyed a lot of success at bypassing the problem by using VPN/proxy services to make it look like we're connecting from the NA, further supporting the possibility that the issue stems from some sort've DDoS pruning script that is disconnecting IP's outside of NA

    It's been posted before, but, to PS4 users with a smartphone, you can temporarily use your phone as a hot spot log in, remove yourself from the affected area and then go back to using your wired or wireless settings. Just be sure to avoid quarrymill and revenants toll.
