    Me and my PLD tanking partner have had some really weird instances with cover, he decides to be clever and a sweetheart by covering me for a few tank-busters/mechanics and he always dies from 100% to 0%. First was Susano normal he covered for Stormsplitter and died, second was Shinryu Akh Mourn and lastly was the new Alte Roite when he uses Charybdis which reduces all partys hp to 1%.(I did not get hit by this ability because of cover Lul) In every instance he got full to zeroed and we wondered if it was some kind of bug?

    IIRC correctly, Cover ignores any additionnal self mitigation. So, taking a tank buster with Enhanced Cover is like taking it with only your tank stance. It could be useful if your max HP + stance was enough to survive (Something a MT should probably not have since he's hit constantly), but for really big hits, it will get you killed.

    One thing I don't know is if the covered target's mitigation is applied before redirecting the damage.
