The problem is that these sets dont fit the THEME FOR THE RAID unlike the coil or alex ones. These armor sets could have been rewards for tomes or a dungeon. Would make sense. This way it does not make any sense at all.I dunno why y'all are complaining. You're in a foreign realm, things are gonna look different, even weird.
Doma and the rest of SB have good and the bad. Sorry you gotta be walking around looking like crap. There's plenty of previous raid gear to glamour that looks awesome... Heck I've personally pulled out my Monk Dreadwyrm gear because honestly it looks so awesome on my SAM.
Nothing about the sets says "omega raid".
I'll be glamouring over each piece as soon as possible. Ugly as sin.

because omega raid don't have a line of design definite dude...
that the point, maybe the next part will have a totally different theme for the boss. nero say it: we can fight any type of enemy that did exist in hyadelin or fictional character!
this series was ff5, next can be FF7 who know that the whole point...
and it's kinda scary... FF5 was interesting choice as start, i hope they will choose boss a bit more recent for add a very interesting feeling
ps: like said, my only grips is all the armor are robe in a sense and it bother me... i like quite simple armor and it's hard to find any armor that is simple. especially for jobs like ninja/monk that are ultra mobile and that end in.... robe! what the... robe is the inverse of easy to move in.
pss: the boss was coming from FF5 and the chocobo from chocobo dungeon series haha this mix.

It absolutely does fit the raid because this entire raid tier is themed after FF5, of which the Genji armor was the strongest equipment in that game. It's also a set of armor that is in almost every Final Fantasy game and it makes complete sense for it to be a raid tier reward and not relegated to something less impressive like a dungeon drop. It's often the best equipment or very top tier in most Final Fantasy games it's in.
It entirely makes sense for being a part of the Omega Interdimensional Rift Raid, especially the tier that's packed with FF5 stuff.

Oh man, I loved the Chocobo Dungeon spin off games so much, I freaked out when I saw that cute little critter appear. My husband was like, "Whoa you need to calm down." LOL XD
On topic: I wasn't crazy about how the gear for EVERYONE for this raid tier is Samurai themed but now that I'm seeing people linking what they look like in game, they're not so bad. But I love the AST AF we got in Stormblood so much I'm going to end up glamoring over it anyway.

Would be cool if the gear was more futuristic or robotic

I like it because its different.

Everyone sitting here saying "Why isn't it futuristic? Why isn't it like Omega himself?"... well, we never got proper Bahamut-style gear until the final tier of the raid. We never got proper Alexander-style gear until the final tier of the raid... perhaps they're following that pattern?
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

I'm indifferent on this set. I neither love or hate it, but I do think the caster set looks out of place on a caster so I'll just glam over any pieces I get to my current flavour of the month.
Puts me in mind of FF Record Keeper.
