Never played FFV and I found Omega's OST way better than Alexander's.

As I said in another thread, this game has been nothing but nostalgia, everything is a reference, your very first dungeon is a homage to V right down to the switch in the wall leading to a pirate hideout. Final Fantasy XIV is basically a giant homage to the series past and what better way to make it an MMO where other FF fans get to enjoy the content they grew up with put together in a big game like this? It's 4.0 now, I don't know why people haven't yet realized this game was made for FF fans in mind? You don't have to get the references but they are there for us. They don't call it a FF theme park game for shits and giggles it literally is.

I dunno, the nostalgia and self references is just a trait of the Final Fantasy. ALL of the games to that. FFXIV is a part of a major franchise, and they all do this type of thing.
You likely have no idea how much stuff you just bump into that's a wink to old stuff, to straight up rehashes of old bosses and music like this.
Did you get salty about the entire Crystal Tower raid series, too? You do know that Alexander is an old summon that appeared in many of the games, too?

You dont have other problems atm, dont you. O welp. Just cause you didnt like it, doesnt mean others dont as well. Get. over. it.

Well they already done it with Ultros battle using the MIDI of FFVI Decisive battle.compared to the original they are brilliant covers, if you remix something to much you lose the touch the orginal had,
IF they were truely lazy they could of used the original OST and left you with the midi file playing in the back ground, so be glad they coverd it :P

You're playing the wrong franchise if you feel that common themes/songs/characters/enemies are a bad thing between games. But you do you, Boo.
You'd be hard pressed to find a series of games who draw more inspiration from each other than FF.
