I undertand where you're coming from but why would i have an airship when i have a dragon? Or a legendary bird? Or a turtle that fly's with rockets it its shell?? Why does anyone have an airship when you can run outside and jump on a free and inexpensive bird. Those guys in the steppe have the right of it.
Point being most mount's are not lore connected. They're fun, we live in a world with flying horses, and obese chocobo's that can fly merely motivated by cake.
