Hunts. the tiger and the out of hand early pulling.

I just want to make clear that this is not a "the achievement tiger mount is hard" thread, but about the really cancerous and bad attitude i have witnessed lately from the players towards hunt and the monopolization of hunt targets. Take for example the thing that made me do this thread, i found an S rank in the shroud and of course i announced it, less than 2 mins since i have said anything and with only about 6 people on the spot some rando just comes in and pulls it and of course everyone wants credit so they just go at it with their whole might and the thing died in about 20 secs with a lot of players on the way, you can imagine how pissed people where on shout chat, the thing is i couldn't care less about the tiger all i want is allied seals to increase my mount speed because 1 week before SB i bought 500 tickets because i heard it was 999 gil from Eorzea to Othard and had like nothing left, how can i get allied seals if i can't get hunts unless i go and look for them myself. (didn't even get full credit for the S rank #donthealhunts)

This is what ticked me off the most in hunting. If you find the mark and you want to pull, fine, you aren't obligated to share anyway. What sucks is when the spotter is kind enough to share and wait, some random prick that was just sitting around in town saw it, came over and pull right away while the spotter is still waiting. I don't know about you guys, but that's a classic douchebag in my book.

What they need to do is to increase either the HP of the old A S ranks or make them spawn in shorter time.

I agree with you so much on this, I cannot express enough agreement with mere words. Have all my +1 for the day.

Plus, there is no such thing as an "Early Pull". There are ambitious puuls, optimistic pulls, and stupidly suicidal pulls, but I've yet to witness an early pull, must be something someone made up.

iirc, didn't they said that hunts are first come first serve basis? No rules about it, if ppl want to be 'good willing' if you could say, they can, but there is no restriction what so ever on hunts.

SE's word is that there is no such thing as an "early pull", it's 1st come 1st served, if you have the capability to kill the mark, do so, if not, and you pull it, I hope you set a decent home point. This nonsense about community standards and waiting for world + dog to show up is an artificial construct that certain groups of players are trying ti impose on the content because they want to maximize *their* chances of obtaining the special mount from completing a large number of hunts. It's selfishness masked in the garb of selflessness.

For what's it worth, I would not count on people reading through the entire thread before replying. You're usually lucky if they even read past the title, so if there's anything important to be said, say it in the first post. If important clarifying information is added later, add it to the first post as well.

Yeah...cause most people get the achievements for Savage content (don't have any myself). Only one I have close to that is the one that gives you Final Witness which I admittedly got at the very end of ARR when my FC was farming it anyways. Also, isn't the "Z" title an achievement that people can no longer get? Never checked if they actually locked out the title in 3.0 like was said (possibly rumor that became "fact"). Either way, Square has no problems giving things to people who go the extra mile.

Finished a Zodiac like.. 4 days ago? Title is still obtainable post 4.x.

And yes, a game should have achievements that are actually difficult to obtain. There are more than enough "Press F to receive achievement" around we can spare a few to be actually impressive. That said, I would not be opposed to upping the spawn rate of older A/S ranks. You still need literal thousands for the achievement/mount, it wouldn't exactly shatter the e-peen value of the mount, and ARR A/S especially, would make getting ahold of the mount speed maps and (Grand Company here) Elite sets less of an absurd proposition.
