    Lol.

I dont know if you are doing a parody or not, but I feel inclined to respond to this anyway, even if you are joking, because it's just so hilariously stupid.

You are totally missing the point about several things. Chief among them is the fact that jobs are role-specialisation for classes. They aren't supposed to be some additional random grind to pander to your sense of elitism. It is a system which is supposed to actually enhance the gameplay, rather than prolong the grind (which isn't even gameplay btw). Another thing you fail to realise is that grindiness does not make a game more hardcore or less "easy-mode". There are ways to add difficulty the game without creating huge barriers to entry based around grind and timesinks.

There is no depth to grinding out another 50 ranks so you can FINALLY PLAY THE GAME.

Your whole perspective is stunted because you grew up in the Everquest generation where people equated fun to their sense of achievement after they spent 10 years of their life grinding instead of playing a game.

Ridiculous. Where do you even get off . . .

Nobody will want a paladin in a grind group anyway, problem solved. This is just their way of superimposing a class system to make balancing content easier without worrying about a player having every skill available.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume content will be balanced around the new jobs and therefore the difficulty will be scaled up accordingly. Call me crazy.

lol just imagine if you have to level jobs. You think someone would invite the old classes for exp party or NM? No way man get out of town! Why would invite weak classes when there's a much better version of that?

I'd rather see them as individual jobs (Kind of like FFXI's advanced jobs.) we could unlock and level up. But at the same time I guess ultimately we don't know how they're actually going to play anyway so the current method very well could be what's best. Just have to wait until they are released for an actual idea how they'll play.

new classes will be added in the future along with new jobs
who knows, those classes may require unlocks, which is along the same lines as what you want

Tbh I'd much rather have proper jobs than just a mode slapped on current classes. The classes even with all this tweaking still feel the same except for the mages and still even those are nowhere near the "class" distinction of traditional FF jobs that have had 20 years of development.

If you want something new to level up, wait for new classes. Jobs are part of the classes and don't have a level
