    Hello everyone!

We always encourage you to submit any suspicious players to either the GM team or to the Special Task Force via the form located at the Support Center Website. If you use the /helpdesk system, the GMs will submit the names of suspected players for you to the Special Task Force so you don’t have to interrupt your game play; the message we send to you is to keep us from disrupting you while you play and also to inform you of the process to submit reports directly to the Task Force, should you wish to outside of game.

There have been some really good suggestions on how we can help improve our GM service and we enjoy reading these types of threads as they are very helpful in understanding what our players are looking for.

    Thanks!

thats not the issue, the issue is someone who is jelous of your ranks, or that you have a drop they want, or is just spiteful for whatever reason(who knows maybe you said no to them joining a party) hitting the suspend/ban button just for those spiteful reasons alone

players are not GMs for a reason and should never have any control over that kind of power

It is really apparent in-game to spot botting. Do you disagree?

If it's easy for players to spot, then a GM should be able to be alerted in-game to check out the alleged botting.

If the GM sees a violation or potential, then THEY should have the authority to suspend the bot until further proof can be examined.

Nowhere did I suggest that players should "be in control of this".

They are not reporting account bans or categories of violations in FFXIV. Where do you get your information?
    they already have this

special task force, which is operating at minimum capacity atm in regards to this game

Even if bots/RMT are obvious, they have become smarter and smarter, as long as they can reply when GM sends them a tell, GM can't do anything.

If it's obvious enough SE could ban them for any reason, It's SE's right to refuse service even if they suspect a character of botting or breaking the ToS.

Ala Salvage Duping bans, a bunch of "Innocent" people got caught in the crossfire by plain association of linkshell. I can't speak for their innocence or guilt but without even actually breaking the ToS SE had 0 issue with banning these people "Pending investigation".

Are there any plans to make the contact process in game when 2.0 comes out, being directed to an external webpage is a real pain and probably stops a great deal of people even bothering with this.

Plus also having an actual in game system would probably speed up the process of having problems and queries address faster.

Anybody ever play , eden eternal? In game it will ask you to input randomly generated number thats given to you in a pop up box to help stop botting. (only bad thing is it comes up at a bad times every once a while, like during a fight, but the good may out weigh the bad)

I just recently came back here after playing Eden Eternal. SE could take tremendous lessons in gaming from that F2P mmo. There is no pop-up system any more they got rid of it and instead GM's run around and ban bots.
