Technically SE could do whatever it wants in regards to the houses. It's what we all agreed to when we signed the EULA. If they choose to evict everyone when they implement an instanced housing feature, you would get some salt, but it would die down eventually. So let's say we roll with that idea. Do we just evict everyone that currently has a personal house and any fc that don't meet size requirements? If it's only at the time of buying, you could just pad the numbers for when you buy it though?
If they have to keep that number the entire time you're gonna have people that used to have 20-50 or so people that go on break for a month and lose their large? Man that seems like more salt waiting to happen.
I would totally be okay with being evicted and compensated if an instanced housing feature was implemented.
If they implement a new system that is instanced that is an entirely different story since they wouldn't be as limited anymore unless they can find some way to mess that up, too.Technically SE could do whatever it wants in regards to the houses. If they keep the system the same and start blowing up houses even more frequently they aren't really solving the problem, they're just moving the houses around and there are still going to be people that will be mad and not have one. The system is bad, and has too many abusable loopholes.
Is just an idea, of course is not going to be perfect :P. Another one, to help with house speculation, if after relinquish a plot instead of becoming available right away (but everyone can see is empty) will use a random timer, like 1 hour or up to 7 days.So let's say we roll with that idea. If you want to go down that path, a queue system would be fairest. Players place a deposit on a house until one with their specifications becomes available.
You should blame the person who has been in your server for a long time and took at least 24 plots in one ward instead of people who moved in, friend.Left Exodus over a year ago and eventually settled on Mateus, enjoying how small and tight knit the community was there, planned to get an FC house eventually for our FC in a month or so. Then you opened the floodgates form Balmung.
Within a week, there are no no free houses on Mateus after ages of the wards being nearly empty. I recognize names, they're all owned by transfers from Balmung who came over with their hundreds of millions. My FC can't have a house now, none of my friends who were saving for one can, because you were too lazy to bump up their own housing capacity but decided to give them ours instead.
Thanks for nothing.
While I don't agree with one person owning that many it is fairly clear Mateus natives knew about them and didn't care. What they didn't expect were all the sudden free transfers from Balmung quickly buying up housing (including some with the intent to flip). Personally cannot imagine waiting so long to buy a house, it has always been scarce on Coeurl excepting smalls in the Goblet.
Hahaha, I think it's awesome what they did. They should be able to keep it. Housing on that server was available for 3 years and now everyone wants one? Now ppl want to take what they worked for? Socialism?
OP, would you rather they have done server merges like they had to in 1.0 when the pops dropped really low after the year of f2p ended and p2p kicked in? Because that is also an option for low pop worlds, get absorbed by others. SE is doing this offer to alleviate server pop stresses so their paying customers, us, can actually play the game we're paying a sub to play. Would you rather ppl quit out of frustration leading to a possibly drastic reduction in active players? I suggest you guys either try to get a house in the new housing district coming out or hope to snag one in the already existing ones if anyone moves out of those.
I'm not sure if I should be impressed or disgusted that two people own almost an entire ward.
It's just wild.
