I'm gonna be completely honest with you. I'm pretty sure that post you made caused your situation to get worse. We have, actually. Almost everyone who actually comes to see what we've built with their own two eyes has been really impressed and supportive. I've made so many friends over this. The past two days has been really heartwarming at best, with a few entertaining spats interjecting the kindness.
(Also want to point out the empty mansion with nothing but cake and vendors that's being tossed around is one of the not-us homes.)
I imagine a lot more people are motivated to get SE to implement that one house per account that we've been asking for YEARS for. I know I am.

Considering they apparently run multiple FCs they also probably got a ton of new recruits who wanted a home or apartment but now cannot get those, they can just get a room in one of the FC houses.
While i disagree with the OP's complaint, FF having limits on housing that make it so people who are paying for a sub cant have a house is a despicable practice.
Perhaps the big mistake was allowing a single player to buy a plot instead of just an FC exclusive feature (with a system in place preventing any "fake" FC from buying one). I mean, the system is clearly built around FC, your own room in an FC house is more than enough for any player (private gardens would be nice too).
For solo players? Apartments (again, a private garden would be nice).
Well, here's my two cents. More than one house per server per fc or individual is excessive with this housing shortage. I think that med and large houses should be fc only. and small houses for individuals or fcs. Or even restrict houses to fc only again and individuals can get apartments. Yes this would cause a lot of crying but it's a lot more fair to everyone.
I already have a small house for my fc and plan on upgrading to a large in the new area and I'm considering a small for myself. However, even though I could afford more houses, I see no point in keeping them from others who have no house. That's just selfish.
Might help a little, but people that really want the medium/larges can just make their own FC and buy it anyway. It's just a bit more annoying since you have to level the FC first and need some people to sign to start it.Well, here's my two cents. True but it would stop some of the house flipping that goes on. I don't know about other servers but on Leviathan people sell small houses for 30mil. Houses which cost them 3 mil. And yes they can make an fc but that takes three people not just one.
If you put another barrier, like having x number of members in order to buy a small plot, x number for medium and x number for large (all with an active subscription at the moment of buying the house) that alone will put an end to house speculation (or two person owning a whole yard).
How is it more fair to folks like me who save slowly but surely until they can buy the plot they want? I didn't have to fight, my Mist plot was actually fairly devauled when I bought it. I am active, I pay my sub, and it is the only piece of property my account owns.Well, here's my two cents. More than one house per server per fc or individual is excessive with this housing shortage. Rather than stopping honest individuals from owning whatever size home they like, there should either be more instanced housing for everyone or maybe extra wards just for FC housing.
So let's say we roll with that idea. Do we just evict everyone that currently has a personal house and any fc that don't meet size requirements? If it's only at the time of buying, you could just pad the numbers for when you buy it though? If you put another barrier, like having x number of members in order to buy a small plot, x number for medium and x number for large (all with an active subscription at the moment of buying the house) that alone will put an end to house speculation (or two person owning a whole yard).
If they have to keep that number the entire time you're gonna have people that used to have 20-50 or so people that go on break for a month and lose their large? Man that seems like more salt waiting to happen.
