I always teleported to the Gold Saucer every :15 & :45 minutes of every hour I wasn't doing any instances. When I set my mind to get something, I get it done! I already have 2.7 million MGP hoarded at this moment with every mount, minion, gambler outfit & Cloud card bought and nothing of interest to buy right now. I still play the events like crazy just in case there is something cool they add and is expensive, I will already have the MGP for it.
