I have longer ques on gilga during this kick everyone from the game b.s, then I do when I log in during prime time. This the worst idea I've seen to combat afk players.

LOL! Okay this one made me laugh =p I LIKE IT!
I see the need of this and I see that it's apparently working. Really glad you guys finally get to log on in a reasonable time.
But please don't use the "it's just 10 minutes" argument. Dps have 30+ minutes queue time, dungeons take around the same. For a Dps it's not 10 minutes, it's over an hour we can't really do much that requires us to queue, such as dungeons, trials, roulette,... For people that only have few hours they have time for playing I can see why they wouldn't like this.
It would honestly be enough to just reset the servers with the 1000+ players in queue.
Considering there is a warning one hour before the boot takes place, it's pretty much the player's responsibility to decide if they will queue up in a 30min wait for a duty or not. The entire point of the auto boot is a temporary measure anyway and things will die down in a couple of months no doubt.
Months? if this continues for months....... seriously...Considering there is a warning one hour before the boot takes place, it's pretty much the player's responsibility to decide if they will queue up in a 30min wait for a duty or not. I wouldn't even mind it if aethers was 11:00am - 12pm est. not slap bang in the middle of the European evenings (8-9pm)

I'm glad we have this thread so we can capture the drama each day.
30 minutes? Man where can I sign up for that?Considering there is a warning one hour before the boot takes place, it's pretty much the player's responsibility to decide if they will queue up in a 30min wait for a duty or not. So yesterday I was in a queue and the warning happened (this was before we knew what time it was going to be). So I'd been in that queue for 40 minutes at that point and the dungeon was going to take at least 30-40 minutes (50/60 roulette). So ... what? I was supposed to just know that I was about to be kicked from the game. Btw my server (Ultros) is not congested. I've never had a login queue last more than 10 minutes, and that was on launch day. My queue popped about 5 minutes later (45 minutes total). We got Snowcloak with a tank that had never done it before. So you can imagine how quickly the yeti boss went. I got out of that dungeon with about 10 minutes to spare on the logoff.
So really what you're saying is: I should decide about two hours in advance of the logoff whether or not I want to be able to play FFXIV during the time I have to play it. Thanks. That's helpful.
