    Those "complainers" as you call them have every right to be disgruntled and vocalize about it. Especially the DPS.

    The fact is that this should not have been implemented on servers where congestion and login queues were not an issue; it's disruptive to those players. I feel for the DPS because it's more than just "10 minutes" to them.

    Additionally this isn't even a true fix, SE is force logging out everyone only once a day at the same time each day. All it takes is those AFK players to remote connect to their machines (very easy to do btw), log back in and go AFK again, thus re-clogging the system.

    SE needs to re-work their actual AFK timers and stop dilly dallying around with these band-aid measures.

    Let us not forget this is a temporary measure, all it needs to do is change the mindset of people who try to avoid being logged off by circumventing the auto-kick. It certainly appears to have had that effect on (trigger warning!) Balmung.

    Please explain, using your proposed system of only kicking congested servers, how you would rectify cross-world parties (whether in duty or still forming in PF) suddenly losing every member from congested servers that had just been kicked?

    Have you tried offering any actual reality-based suggestions for how to do this right now? Do you understand the coding well enough to craft and implement a solution in time for it to be effective? Can you predict all of the consequences of these changes and how they might negatively impact players?

    I have to agree on every single point here.

    The big problem for this is that the situation isn't "just 10 minutes". The fact that the measure is an entire server reset means no one can realistically queue for any instance anywhere around the reset period. For DPS, that is more a 1-2 hour block depending on what they are queuing for. And now it is happening every bloody day for the foreseeable future.

    The fact SE are doing this on servers without the problem in question is utter madness. More so when you consider all this nonsense could have been avoided if SE would properly code their AFK timeouts like literally every other MMO I can remember playing in the first place.

    Not everything revolves around Balmung and I'm fairly certain that the sum active players of the other 23 NA worlds likely far exceeds the population of Balmung (Not even going to take JP and EU realms into account). Even Gilgamesh, the 2nd largest server, was saying their queues had returned to almost normal the day before they implemented this. So who exactly is the previous flower?

    Well this argument could be said back to you too. I mean why are you complaining that long log in queues are lowering your game experience? You choose to play on a big server and all the smaller ones did not have that much of a problem at that time. Also we also wrote that they could have simply done this only on Balmung and the other bigger ones and leave all the middle and smaller ones alone. See! Win win for nearly every one..

    Well I'll be damned, for all I can tell this actually seems to somehow work.

    We apparently had our kick at 1pm, I wasn't around at the time but it seems to have caught at least the people who were at work and couldn't remote desktop their home PC.
    I came home at 4pm to a login queue of 21, easily 400 people shorter than the past average and over in seconds.
    Had to log out for an extended dinner later and logged back in right in the middle of prime time, 450 in queue, moving so fast I was back in the game in under 15 minutes.

    If things keep going this way in the days to come this measure is working out a lot better than I was willing to give them credit for.

    600 people queue on balmung when previously around this time it would be anywhere between 3-4k..I am ok with this.

    I'm okay with this: I was finally able to queue into Balmung and Omega at last and managed to play after, with only 220 people in queue around 3 hours ago and same for Omega. It's not the best idea ever but I'm surprised i didn't get stuck with thousands of people from few days ago. I'm still hoping for a better fix but for now it will be enough.

    I still wish they could've avoided this all together...if only there was something that could test BEFORE the launch of the game...something-something with beta....something-something with PT and....

    Nope got nothing sorry.

    503 in queue at 5:25PDT when I got home from work. Was on server at 5:40. Something something Balmung how terrible of me to stay on Balmung or somesuch. Once people get bored with Omega they'll leave until 4.5. Happened during the 2.x series, happened during the 3.x series. It'll happen in the 4.x series. Then we'll just go back to how we all need to delete Balmung. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
