Because that happens in like every single game.

Never assume any of us has played a Final Fantasy before this one. There are quite a few who this their 1st, me included.

I will concur that Elezen look way better fully clothed. I never like having any skin exposed as our bodies just aren't very appealing while semi nude. Women can pull it off as I have seen some in bikinis, since the boobs help a lot, but dudes, no! We are too gangly. We need musculature. Not excessive like Roegadyn, but between Highlander & Midlander to look decent.

Elezen males have an athletic body, they don''t look gangly. Highlanders males and Roes males have a buffed body. I've never found buffed males, whether real ones or in art and videogames attractive. Athletic in the other hand I do like it and find it attractive.

Elezens are basically elves. And elven folk live longer and age slower than other races. I feel like the twins are in their mid 20's. Aymeric could be late 40's and thordan is pushing 150.
As for the playable elezens, I wanna say we're all hanging out somewhere in the 30's.

The twins are filthy halfbloods. They are probably half elves. Also when I first started this game I hated them cause they were exactly like how I wanted my character to look. Because I wanted to make a half elf based on the lore of miles maelstrom

I do wonder when elezen have their growth spurt. Because even as an elezen myself, the cutscenes are funny because I tower over the twins at almost twice their height (I am max height, but still...). Personally I don't mind elezen proportions, because I think it makes us unique, but it does seem as though A & A have their own separate models.

Aymeric doesn't though, I think, his armour just hides his neck.

Because it says so in the Encyclopedia Eorzea.

Page 82 about the Elezens

"They boast the longuest lifespan of all races by a slight margin."

And page 83 about the Wildwood Elezens:

"With lifespans one - or two - tenths again as long as their fellow races, their physical maturity is somewhat delayed. It is not uncommon for Wildwood children to look up to their Hyran friends in their early teens, only to rapidly outstrip them around the age of 20"

Like I said in my previous post Elezens live longer, but they take longer to reach maturity, so it evens out. They don't say if the Duskwight also take longer to reach maturity as well, but both clan live longer than the other races, that is certain, not centuries, more like 10-20 years more, But the twins are both Wildwood so they will take longer to get maturity, so they will stay kids for a while.

People don't like him because of his role in the story. He is supposed to be our proxy, because for the most part we are the silent protagonist, he is our voice. So a lot of the times it's acted like he speaks for us or we mirror his opinions. So of course not everyone is going to agree with him 100% if the time. So it develops animosity.

I find that happens with a lot of the Scions, and not just Alphinaud in particular. I am not a big fan of Thancred or Lyse. They are the one group we are chained to, apparently.

I have to disagree with this. Being super skinny isn't athletic. We may not have fat on our bodies, but that doesn't mean we are athletic. You need some kind of muscle mass to be athletic.
