Dungeon Anxiety!

I can totally relate to this. Being medicated for my anxiety disorder helps, but there's something about queuing up with strangers that takes everything to the next level for me. There is a lot of deep breathing involved when I'm thinking about jumping in the duty finder, and I'm still around 50% for "spaz out and don't do it".*

I'm always happy to team up with fellow Anxious Ones if it will make for a better experience, so definitely feel free to shoot me a friend request in game! I'm still a noob (max level is 27 at the moment), so I might not actually be helpful, but I also won't lose my mind if things suddenly go downhill.

Anxiety in a video game is one thing. Anxiety in real life is a whole different level. If it prevents you from leading a "normal" life, and eats at you constantly at every simple (in the perspective of the average person) task, that's really, really hard.

Well I have tankxiety some of the time - especially with DF where you never know who you are going to end up with. There are also dungeons I don't care for which doesn't help either.

That said I love to go with my FC as with them there is no pressure. I've also found PF to be useful as you can get a feel for who you are joining. "beginners welcome" is a much different group than "high level gear; multiple runs for loot".

Fellow dungeon anxiety sufferer here as well, I am very lucky that my partner IRL also plays and he runs dungeons with me, my problem is I think everyone has such high expectations on this game that any little mistake or death I have, I place such high expectations on myself as well, even if it's a dungeon I have never ran before, mostly I run it just fine though but I do know exactly how you feel.

I have major social anxiety but I'm actually very confident in game and I lead a groups to clears. Weird. I can't imagine being virtually shy.
