This, THM lore is about life, death and resurrection. CON is about communing with the elements and harmony with nature.

I see thm based on the story more like the jedi of ffxiv. They are constantly trying to find balance between light and dark, astral and umbral, good and evil.

...and CON handles the other 6 elements in this universe.

The only major distinction (as of 1.19) that we have is that THM has the best buffs/debuffs (akin to SMN/RDM), and CON has the best nukes/heals/raises (Akin to BLM and WHM).

I don't see red mage happening till some other DoMs make it in the game.

This is how I see it now.
With their example of how to get a paladin you need Gladiator at 30, and marauder at 15.

If you we take two classes to get a job, then this is what might happen.
Black Mage needs 30 Thm and 15 Cjn.

White Mage needs Cjn 30 and Thm 15

Red Mage needs Blm/Whm 30?

try using shadowsear, now, after 1.19. and conj has the best buffs.

THM DOES mean "bringer of miracles" so I wouldn't be surprised if THM becomes totally changes and gets white magic while Conjurer gets black magic.
