We just are not/weren't over geared. First time through the story was rough on AST. But now that everyone is gearing up they are back to pulling three or four groups at a time.

Yeah this. I'm at 314 ilvl now (not running the shitty 270 str stuff) zero problems with threat, and I can safely pull 3-4 groups with a good healer.
