Not convinced. Here we are not talking about gear - but rather about the revamp of tanks and healers. This is not something that happened in HW.

No, we're talking about big pulls requiring enormous healing effort and being a huge strain. Exactly this happened in HW.

I'm not sure why people are acting like it was different. But it will be over quick as we gear up, hitting sync points on leveling dungeons and simply out-ilvling endgame ones. Just as it was over quick at HW launch.

I'm leveling SCH right now and I can heal through big pulls (while still pulling decent DPS numbers) just fine. While I'm not exactly happy with how powerful AST is, people are overstating the SCH nerfs and WHM, without AST in the picture, would be just fine. They all are fine for dungeons and SCH still works in even the ex primals without herculean efforts.

I mean, hell, if I get a level sync'd tank Eos can still solo heal a lot of the time.

You are digressing. I myself have cleared numerous times Susano EX as SCH, so of course it is doable. This being said, despite squeezing every drop of DPS I can muster, numbers are nowhere near what they were in Ravana EX (compared to the DPS people, that is). On the same note, Adlo and Succor "spam" is less viable than HW and the same goes for the fairy. Deployment/Emergency Tactics were useful tools in HW (and I still rely on them more than the new stuff, for current EX primals). What we got this time? Not so much.

I am not saying the sky is falling - I am just saying that healing WILL be harder on average, and that is a good thing.

Fair. But to circle back... OP was complaining about big dungeon pulls. It's a thing on every healer, even AST, as strong as it is numerically, struggles when both the healer and tank are on kind of outdated gear trying to pull large mob packs. And especially if the DPS can't burn them down fast.

The only real mystery is how this happening in HW is escaping so many people's memories. As is... just have to ask the tank to slow down a bit, or grin and bear it until gear+sync trivializes everything (which is already starting to happen and when raid/capped tomestone gear releases... yeah).
