    My idea of "fine" and "fun" for Warrior tanking is not "spam Overpower 5 times to hold aoe aggro, especially hoping people would let me goddamned get the conal in position before they go ham" as Beast Gauge requirement for Steel Cyclone is 50 and Infuriate doesn't work out of battle.

    I have some pretty big issues with these posts lately.


    Firstly, I see people claiming this isn't what the devs intended.
    What sources do you have indicating the developers intend us to play the game the way you want it played?
    I remember back in Heavensward with the release of Dark Knight, Yoshi-P even stated in live letters that it was an advanced job that would be mastered through the use of stance dancing.
    I feel like the recent changes to tanks have people making possibly false assumptions regarding the intentions of the development team.

    Secondly, I see the phrase "Tanks actually need to be tanks now".

    What the hell do you think all the tanks have been doing for the last 4 years running?
    At any point in all of heavensward has there been some epidemic where instances were a bunch of bosses doing laps around the arena hitting everyone in the party?
    Tanking basically consists of holding hate and not dying. Regardless of the amount of damage you output, that role has always been fulfilled.
    Thousands of extra HP and low damage output does not make any difference to your ability to survive and hold enmity.

    I finally understand guys! It's not about trying to hold hate, it's about getting DPSs to use enmity reducing tools. So if a DPS rips hate, he's suppose to use the enmity reducing tools. If he doesn't, he will die by his own hands!

    This really sums up how it feels reading these responses. DPS and those who don't know our job mechanics really need to stop telling us how to play said jobs, especially as if we're supposed to be servants for them. If your tanks are having issues, why the heck WOULDN'T you want your tanks to have it better or easier? We're certainly not replacing the DPS spots as tanks but at the going rate we may join them instead... Honestly, with the attitudes here I only want to tank for my FC.

    Dps stats on left side will not make the issue worse, it will stay exactly how it is. Tanks weapons and right side are scaling exactly the same as dps meaning regardless of left side it stays the same as it is now....a2nd that's being lil bit more challenging.

    If you look at the new gear, it scales exactly the same with each upgrade with a gap just over 29 percent in strength .

    The mentality needs to just switch a bit. Take pride in others being able to do big numbers and not pull hate, making the fight go quicker with you vs someone who can't hold hate with the same group.

    No. I stoped Tanking with Stormblood. I was always Main Tank for years when it came to raids or dungeons, i never thought that would change, but Paladins are OP and boring right now while the other Tanks are a clunky mess. So i got a dps to 70 afterwards (SAM ofc) wich im really happy with now. Its not only the players... if a Job isnt fun anymore you just stop playing it.

    I feel like in dungeons all tanks (war/drk especially) need a boost to their aoe enmity moves. As for being forced to stay in tank stance, not really no. They gave us shirk which will allow tanks to multiply their enmity and stay in dps stance stance in raids and trials once people are comfortable with the fight. Dungeon tanking needs some love right now but raiding and trials are in a good spot currently.
