Then why give us Inner Release? Why give us Deliverance at all?Stance dancing is an attempt to turn a tank into a DPS, so yeah... making that a non-viable tactic actually is a part of making them more of a tank. You might not like them being pushed more to the tanky side of things, but that is a design goal achieved... so Yoshi-P delivered.

And more: Why give tanks damage skills at all?
They can just ask a DPS to help them with solo stuff or we can develop a queue system for tanks that want to do quests or similar content so they can find DPS to help them with it more easily. It's been a long-standing success for dungeons.
Are we playing the same Tank? Because I stance dance just fine. You can't do it on the fly exactly like before, but it only takes half of whatever your current Beast Gauge is. So usually I'll throw out IB to get defense buff which will drop me down to low amount so when I switch stances it doesn't penalize me as badly. Also the other techs you use those in between you building up to use fell cleave and decimate. Since they have a cooldowns by the time those are ready I can already throw out another one of my main techs. Which with Advanced Infuriate anytime I use those drops the cooldown. The only thing I don't like is the fact I can't use flash anymore. Made pulling groups super easy mode and didn't have to burn as much TP.
It does penalize you because you're losing 200 potency when you use Inner Beast instead of Fell Cleave. Vice versa the same thing happens. If you spend your gauge in Deliverance, you need to rebuild the gauge in Defiance, which is also a DPS loss. Are we playing the same Tank? Because I stance dance just fine.
